Warum kuschen wir vorm Islam?

A Berlin opera house condemned for cancelling performances of a Mozart work because of concern it might provoke violence by Muslims said on Thursday it might consider staging the production if it had security assurances...

"Why are we bowing to Islam?" read Thursday's front page of the top-selling daily Bild. Inside it showed a photomontage of Berlin's parliament building with minarets and an Islamic crescent superimposed on its central glass dome.

We hear much about the so-called "Arab Street". I get the feeling the Western Street is now making its voice heard too.

Blimey. Anti-dhimmitude in spades.

Which is good.

If this had been done on Buckingham Palace, the artist would have been done for hate speech.

The Europeans, save the Swedes, are more robust in defence of civilisation that are we.

Chirac banned the hijab on school property. It is also banned, in France, on employees on any government property.

Several states in Germany have banned teachers from wearing hijabs in school.

We had Prime Minister Rassmussen in Denmark refusing to meet with a various rag tag rat bag of imans about Jyllands-Posten, saying Denmark has a free press and he has no control over it.

We have Angela Merkel publically outraged that the opera company was prepared to take its orders from said rag tag rat bag of Islamics. I am confident the opera will go ahead and the mohammedans can rant themselves into a frenzy.

Some good news from Europe at last :)

Now, if only they will develop a bit of backbone in Brussels & put an end to those recent Muslim riots we've (not) been hearing about on the MSM......

juliam - The northern Europeans (save Sweden) have been far more robust than Britain has. They don't have Tony's Thought Police over there.

Remember - disgracefully, shamefully, not one British paper published the Danish cartoons - but they were published in Germany and France (and Spain, if I recall correctly). And Jordan.

Britain crouched in full cringe.

Ah yes, the Daily Bilge.

Germans have a great history of 'standing up' to religious minorities. Maybe those dirty Jewbags really did deserve what they got - after all, the Germans did it!

I'll go and change into my SS uniform right now....

hmm.. very clever. All of German history is just 1933 to 1945 so , eh?

Lets forget about the previous several hundred years of German history - you know, small things, like standing up the Catholic church during the Reformation. Forming a republic under Bismarck. Creating the first welfare state in the 19th century. Being the most liberal and free society in the entire world during the 1920s.

ah - we'll just forget about all that, and just stick to the British GCSE version of history.

Archduke - but this little muzzie arse bag likes Germany 1933 to '45! He approves! It's Germany before and after that period that is bitterly disappointing.

Not totally to do with the Jews, I suspect. Those officers' jackboots and uniforms were just so butch!

how do you know that anon is a "muzzie"? christ almighty verity, you're veering on the zyklon-B attitude there.

sorry to spoil your party ,but i'm having nothing to do with that - it just dont like fascists, be they islamists , or crazy Muslims or crazy Opus Dei nutters or people like you that use terms like "muzzie". grow the fuck up in other words. and read some Cato Letters and Voltaire while you're at it.

archduke, or may I call you archie? "I'm having nothing to do with that". Who invited you to? Official disclaimer: "Archduke" had absolutely nothing to do with my post. This is official!

Yes, darling, read Cato. Read Voltaire, although frankly, not too much.

You seem to be rather young. Only the young have the temerity to reprimand others who have opinions which oppose their own with: "Grow up!" "Grow the fuck up" seems to be a blog speciality of people in their 20s. Adults acknowledge that there is more than one opinion in the world and try to argue their points to prevail.

"Sorry to spoil your party," you bark. Oh, don't apologise! You haven't! There is no party here! Just comment on a blog, although from your bossiness, I don't doubt that you have the ability to spoil parties.

In any event, I would advise that you study the content of what other people say before fizzing over the top of the bottle.
