A whole paragraph deleted without notation and without changing the timestamp. High quality news broadcaster, no doubt. I think it's allowed according to sharia though.
It's because you are an incredibly organised Zionist lobby. It's only logical. :)
Phil Coombs of BBC shows a photo of his, with a caption describing "an anti-personnel mine" left in a Lebanese home by the Israelis. After it was exposed as nothing more than a lithium battery, BBC quietly changed the caption.

AIUI the timestamp is automatically generated when the article is put onto the BBC server, though it can be manually edited. So what we have here is a bit of "stealth editing", where an intentional effort has been made to disguise the fact that the story has been altered.
Unfortunately the damage done by the original biased and blatant anti-American report is done now -- and their TV reports were even more anti-American and their web piece. This plane crash happened several days ago and now the vast majority of the public will barely remember that it happened at all. What a few will have however is some vague recollection that something nasty happened last week, and "Oh yes, a load of people died, and weren't the Americans to blame somehow? Yes that's right, I remember hearing it somewhere. Bloody Yanks at it again eh? Thank God we have the BBC to keep us informed about these things".
Bart.
With the best will in the world, US sanctions would not prevent the Iranians from buying Russian aircraft parts.
As reported by EU Referendum the Iranians were able to but Surface to Air missiles for the defence of their nuclear processing installations.
One would have to wonder why the "West" would be at fault when it was a Russian plane in the first place...
Anonymous - we would be to blame in the same way as we apparently sold all those Russian tanks and planes to Saddam.
Abolish the TV licence.
Here's the why the uAused all those crashes....or maybe not!

I complained about this very text to the Beeb (yep, CIA and Mossad put me up to it!).
My complaint has not (yet) been acknowledged, but lo and behold a stealth edit occurs.
I wonder if Ms Harrison will use that line again the next time there's a crash in Iran?
This lazy bitch has used the same "officials blame US sanctions for Iranian plane falling out of the sky" schtick several times:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/4594104.stm
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/4502966.stm
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/4518876.stm
These have not yet been stealth edited.
BBC eh? Stuffed full to the brim with Muslim-loving hags like Orla Goering, Frances Harrison and Barbara 'Cry Baby' Plett.
Quite the piece of stealth editing by the Comrades at the Beeb!
Of course, any high school student of normal intelligence would question how any US embargo could affect the availability of Russian aircraft and/or parts to the Iranian airlines. Or, for that matter, the availability of Airbus aircraft and parts. And why Iran, awash in oil income, didn't at least buy spare parts from their Russian friends and conduct proper maintenance.
Pretty pathetic bit of illogic on the Beeb's part. (Not that illogic means anything at the Beeb when it contradicts their theology of Anti-Americanism.)
brilliant expose,
can't we start a foundation charitable organization or something to permanently watch these guys?
dave in pa
Plenty of US bits (notably engines and nav equipment) in Airbuses.
