The BBC back in Bint Jbeil

In his report from Bint Jbeil yesterday ("Lebanon starts to rebuild") the BBC’s Nicholas Witchell was particularly keen to emphasise which part of town he was in:
This is Bint Jbeil. For centuries it’s been what we in Britain would describe as the local market town. This is the centre of that town today… In the centre of town street after street was devastated… the rebuilding of this central part of the town is unquestionably going to take years.
Why might that be?

"This is Bint Jbeil."

The town shall hitherto be known as Bint Guerin, in honour of its liberator.

Presumably the camera panned round the central part of town. Did he turn half away from the camera and indicate the outskirts, saying, "Other parts of the town - not the centre, but further out - won't need rebuilding as there was absolutely no damage.

"I am standing in the centre, which is what my colleague was referring to earlier when she said not one building had been left unscathed. She meant to add "... in the centre." Phew!
