Annan in Cuba

Aww, isn't this nice?

I bet this guy didn't even get an answer to his letter:
Honorable Kofi Annan
Secretary General, United Nations

Honorable Sir:

Welcome to Our Homeland.

Your visit to Cuba is an extraordinary occasion for you to learn first hand the views of sectors of the Cuban society who disagree with the government position, most specially with the representatives of the organizations working for the reconciliation, peaceful pacific changes, and defenders of the human rights contained in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of the United Nations.

Many of the citizens whom peacefully worked defending and promoting Human Rights in Cuba languishes in prison for defending this cause.
Your Excellency, we are requesting you make a plea before the Cuban government for the liberation of these pacific prisoners. Enclosed please find copy of the message we sent to all delegations attending the summit of The Non-Aligned Nations in Havana.

During your stay in Cuba, please devote some time to meet with us, representatives of the aforementioned groups and with the families of the pacific political prisoners in question.

We appreciate your consideration and hereby express our profound respect.
