Best of the Web
Got a mention on the Wall Street Journals' Best of the Web. (Hat tip Theo Spark in the comments).
I was getting more than 5,000 visitors an hour yesterday, which was nice.
Update. And a belated hat tip to Verity for pointing out the mention I got from the great Charles Johnson himself.

get a load of the prison sentence:
"the paedophile, Leslie Ford-Thrussell, 72, is currently serving a 12-year jail term for 36 offences including seven counts of rape."
12/7 = around 1.7 years per rape. (!!!!)
That's strange. I posted that DFH had also got a mention and a link on Little Green Footballs, which had almost half a million visitors yesterday. That's a lot of new people introduced to DFH, I wrote. But the post has slipped over the edge of the net.
Good work, DfH.
I noticed the site attracted more weirdos than usual yesterday. Infamy beckons.
Now that you're famous and stuff, please don't neglect your season-ticket-holders (i.e. me and Verity). :-)
How's that, Verity?
CM - 1.7 years per rape. What the hell is wrong with these judges?
Clematis, I'm feeling generous at the moment - you and Verity (and indeed Charles) can have free lifetime membership. There, can't say fairer than that, can I?
Huzzah! Thanks, buddy!
Charles Johnson is cultivating a beautiful relationship with Reuters, isn't he?
DFH -Thank you! I will hang my virtual membership certificate on my wall.
Clematis Fraud - Do you know the history of Charles's feud, in which he always prevails, with Reuters?
I think I do, Verity.
Or was Bunglawalagate a later episode in an already simmering feud?
No,Clematis, Banglawangli Boy was the first incident, I believe, that revealed Charles's brilliant forensic abilities on the internet and produced a panicky reaction at al-Reuters.
DFH - You also got a mention and a link here:
http://rightwingnuthouse.com/archives/2006/08/07/hizbullahs-useful-idiots-mum-about-reuters-scam/ I think it may be a Canadian site.
Hopefully, by your grace & favour, I can find a pleasant home here in which to make the odd=occasional rant. I spy neither despots nor Attilas here. Some "other places" are run by would-be Obersturmbannführers in charge of third-rate prep schools, & with a narrow-minded attitude of the most callow sort.
British justice is, currently, a misnomer.........but then, one gets the government & system one deserves....and has elected.
I used to be proud of Reuters.
I used to be proud of a lot of things.........
The pain of shattered beliefs is truly awful.
You are more than welcome permanentexpat.
