Painful death for al-Zarqawi

AP :
Terrorist leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was still alive when Iraqi police arrived at a site that was bombed by U.S. forces, a top-level spokesman for American military forces said Friday.

Brig Gen. Bill Caldwell, briefing military reporters at the Pentagon from his post in Baghdad, said he learned that al-Zawqari was alive after getting briefings on the military operation that netted al-Zarqawi and several others...

He said that when the terrorist "attempted to sort of turn away off the stretcher, everybody reached to insert him back. ... He died a short time later from the wounds suffered during the air strike."
He suffered. Good.

Well yes, but why aren't there any videos of his suffering so we can watch them on the internet over lunch or drinking from home? And send them round to all our friends?

From The Times:,,7374-2218620,00.html

"He was conscious initially, according to the US forces that physically saw him. He obviously had some kind of visual recognition of who they were because he attempted to roll off the stretcher, as I am told, and get away, realizing it was US military," Major-General Caldwell said.

"He mumbled something but it was indistinguishable and it was very short." Probably "Ah, shit."

But the most important question here is: what the hell was he doing on a stretcher? Surely the point of the planes and the bombs was to kill the creep? Why didn't they just kick his head in?

I repeat, no one has addressed what the hell this thug was doing on a stretcher - except to provide some comedy relief when he tried to roll off. Admittetdly, that could have been pretty funny.

The people in Jordan seem to be in a rather celebratory mood.

The fact that this evil head-chopping, innocent-tortuing bastard suffered is truly excellent news.

The Iraq/coalition forces were bonkers for trying to help him though.

Of course, expect a lib-media frenzy over this.

I read that although on the outside, he looked comparatively undamaged, the reverbrations from the impact of those huge, powerful bombs would have frapp├ęd his internal organs.

If you wanted to unwind all of the cells the jordanian terrorist created then you'd tell people he died, when he really "lived".
