Hate mail

Title: You bunch of wanker

I look forward to the day when you pigs get your throats cut...

The above email was sent to Charles Johnson at Little Green Footballs by someone using a Reuters News account. Interestingly, one person in the frame is the Muslim Council of Britain's Inayat Bunglawala. Nordish, who was the catalyst for subsequent events - has more at his blog.

Update. Charles has received the following email from Reuters:
Following your email regarding the posting of an offensive message that was sent from a Reuters IP address, I can confirm that an employee has been suspended pending further investigation. The individual was not an employee of Reuters’ news division.
Probably not Bunglawala by the sounds of it.

A week ago Drinking From Home reported on an article in the Guardian in which the “racist” English white working class was disparaged because of its pride in its national flag.

Today in School relaxes England flag ban one can read the following: "Reports suggested fears of the rise in support for the British National Party in the area had prompted the ban on the St George's flag."

Why not Boy Bungla? The rest of the email from Reuters confirmed that a member of staff had been suspended, although this person was not on their news team. So it wasn't a journalist. But Boy Bungla could have been working for al-Reuters under another capacity. "Advisor on Islamic affairs" doesn't sound too outrageous, for example. This story is still running.

You have to ask yourself, why on earth was Bungalow Boy posting from a Reuters email address in Sweden. Yet Charles Johnson's exhaustive and brilliant detective work on his ISP shows that this is indisputably the case.

Last night, he wrote that he was so fed up with this (I guess he means being found out) that he was going to go to the police in the morning. Why not immediately, last night, with a heated denial? Scotland Yard is open 24 hours a day.

You might wonder why he would think of going to the police, but you've got to rememeber that as a Muslim he reflexively thinks that the law exists to protect him from being offended while allowing him to give offense or worse.

Bunglawala is going to the police?

After all, it was Charles Johnson who received the threatening email...

He seems to have been curiously laggardly about going to the police about this "outrage". Two days, and no police report made, despite threatening to race around to Scotland Yard.
