"We are a party of principle."

From John Prescott's 1996 Labour Conference speech:
"Morality is measured in more than just money. It's about right and wrong. We are a party of principle. We will earn the trust of the British people. We've had enough lies. Enough sleaze."
Iain Dale has more.

Update 12.45pm. Speaking on Radio Five Live this morning, the Sun’s former political editor Trevor Kavanagh said it was well known that Prescott is a “serial adulterer”. The Sun chose not to go public with this information (it obviously didn't want to upset its own special relationship with Tony), but all the details seem to be coming out now - Guido claims to know of at least one other Prescott dalliance.
