"Everybody's Guessing"

John Prescott recently told a Bristol radio station his six favourite records. One choice was “Everybody’s Guessing” by Georgie Fame. AC/DC’s “Whole Lotta Rosie” was not on the list.

Whole Lotta Rosie would be good except for the role reversal. Which one would be wieghing in at nineteen stone?

Maybe some Barry White would be suitible. The Walrus of Love and all that.

There is a song on my list, specially dedicated to the grotesque one. Sung by, amongst others, Cab Calloway.

You Rascal You

You sure is a rascal!

I'll be glad when you dead, you rascal, you!
I'll be glad when you dead, you rascal, you!
When you dead in your grave,
No more women will you crave.
I'll be glad when you dead, you rascal, you!

I trust you in my home, you rascal, you.
I trust you in my home, you rascal, you.
I trust you in my home,
You wouldn't leave my wife alone.
I'll be glad when you dead, you rascal, you!

I fed you since last fall, you rascal, you.
I fed you since last fall, you rascal, you.
I fed you since last fall,
Then you got your ashes hauled.
I'll be glad when you dead, you rascal, you!

Mark - I believe there's a Barry White song called "Practice what you preach".

William - how about Calloway's "Everybody Eats When They Come To My House"? It includes the line "Taste the baloney, Tony".

Rosemary Clooney appears to have been remarkably prescient when she sang Everything's Coming Up Rosie

Who remembers the children's TV show Playdays? "Roll up and ride on Rosie..."
